Twelfth Meeting

1.      Chair Innes called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. in the Carol Blute Conference room.

2.      On a motion made by Member Turner and seconded by Member Wilson the meeting minutes from the October 17th meeting were approved. 5/0/3

Member Chase arrived 7:38 p.m.

3.      Chair Innes recognized Cemetery Superintendent Therese Desmond-Sills and Cemetery Trustee Robert Mason to discuss the Reserve Fund Transfer request for the demolition and removal of the structure at 379 Centre Street. Also in attendance was Cemetery Trustee Ann Walsh.

4.      On a motion made by Member Chase and seconded by Member Wilson the committee voted unanimously to approve a Reserve Fund Transfer for $12,900 for the demolition and removal of the structure at 379 Centre Street. 9/0/0

5.      Chair Innes recognized Selectman Tom Hurley to discuss with the committee a new potential article for the January 30, 2012 Special Town Meeting. The article would be for the Town to vote to accept the Community Preservation Act at the beginning of Fiscal Year 2013. Selectman Hurley informed the committee of what the Community Preservation Act is, and how it works. Selectman Hurley will get back to the committee regarding meeting with the people from the state level of the Community Preservation Act.

6.      Chair Innes brought the committee up to date on the Special Town Meeting Articles; while also informing the members that the Selectmen will be closing the Warrant on November 17, 2011.



7.      Chair Innes mentioned that at the next meeting, November 16th, that the Veteran’s Service Representative Michael Cunningham will be attending the meeting to discuss future Reserve Fund Transfers.

8.      Chair Innes is also going to ask Amy Dexter the Town Accountant to attend the November 16th meeting to discuss GASB 45.

9.      Chair Innes reminded the members that all FY 2013 budgets are due to the committee by December 1, 2011.

10. On a motion made by Member Bell, and seconded by Member Chase the committee voted unanimously to adjourn at 9:21 p.m.
