Eighth Meeting

Present:                E. Innes, J. Wilson, D. Turner, R. Hallisey, J. Folcarelli, T. Hays, M.                                 Mitchell, H. Bell, C. Cahill, K. Chase, M. Zullas

Absent:         S. Genega, C. Tougias, J. Ahonen, N. Bourque            

Reserve Fund:   $350,000

  • Chair Innes called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m. in the Carol Blute Conference room.
  • On a motion made by Member Turner and seconded by Member Wilson the meeting minutes from the August 24th meeting were approved. 6/0/3
  • On a motion made by Member Turner and seconded by Member Hallisey the meeting minutes from the August 31st meeting were approved. 5/0/4
  • Chair Innes updated the committee on the status of the November Special Town Meeting. The Board of Selectmen discussed moving the Special Town Meeting to January 30, 2012. The committee discussed the possible ramifications to the potential articles, if the date of the Special Town Meeting is changed.
  • Chair Innes noted that he has asked for the Consolidated Facilities Sub-Committee to meet next week to discuss the ramifications of a move of the Special Town Meeting to the FY 2012 Consolidated Facilities budget.
  • Chair Innes informed the committee that next week’s meeting for September 12th and 14th will be cancelled; a revised schedule will be sent out after the Special Town Meeting date is finalized.
  • Member Turner inquired as to when the chairs of the subcommittees can begin to contact Department Heads regarding FY 2013 budgets. Chair Innes said that the chairs to the subcommittees can begin the process of reaching out to the department heads; that the first draft of budgets are due to the committee at the end of November beginning of December, with final FY 2013 budgets due January 31, 2012.  
  • On a motion made by Member Bell and seconded by Member Chase the Warrant Committee unanimously agreed to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.
