Second Meeting
Present: J. Wilson, M. Mitchell, D. Turner, C. Cahill, C. Tougias, S. Genega, R. Hallisey,
J. Ahonen, T. Hays, N. Bourque, T. Cahill
Absent: E. Innes, K. Chase, J. Folcarelli, H. Bell
- Secretary Jean Wilson acting as Chair called the meeting to order at 7:33 PM in the Carol Blute Conference Room.
- Acting Chair Wilson passed out a list of subcommittees and asked the present members to think about choosing 3 subcommittees to serve on.
- The Acting Chair recognized Selectmen Tom Hurley to speak about the potential articles for the November Special Town Meeting.
- Selectmen Hurley explained to the members the following 5 articles for the November Special Town meeting: 1. Consolidated Facilities Budget 2. Revolving Account for the East Milton Library 3. Civil Service for DPW & Custodians 4. Bond for Antonio Pickens 5. Liquor license for Esprit de Vin
- The Acting Chair thanked Selectmen Hurley for attending the meeting and discussing the articles.
- Under old business the Acting Chair reminded the members that they would need to complete the State Ethics Commission online training. The training can be found at www.mass.gov/ethics under online training.
- New business, the Acting Chair passed out copies of the Massachusetts Open Meeting Laws Guide, and reminded the group that the meetings are ruled by Robert’s Rules of order.
- On a motion made by Member Mitchell, and seconded by Member Turner, the Warrant Committee unanimously agreed to adjourn at 8:36 pm.
