The Committee received a copy of an e-mail from Fire Chief Larson concerning his request for a Reserve Fund transfer, a copy of a communication from the Blue Hills Regional Vocational School District regarding its FY 07 budget and Chapter 70 funding and a copy of the power point presentation by Senator Brian A. Joyce given at the Warrant Committee’s April 26, 2006 meeting.

On a motion made by Secretary Lowney and seconded by Member Keel, the minutes of April 26, 2006 were approved 7-0-4.

On a motion made by Secretary Lowney and seconded by Member Keel, the Committee voted 11-0-1 to reopen  and rescind its April 26, 2006 vote to increase the FY 2007 non-contingent Reserve Fund appropriation by $21,628 using $21,628 in free cash which had been set aside for a potential article to replenish the FY 2006 Reserve Fund.  The Committee then, on a motion made by Secretary Lowney and seconded by Member Mason, voted 12-0-0 to increase  Article 10, Employment Security Benefits appropriation, from $100,000 to $121,628 using the available $21,628 in free cash.

The Committee discussed recent developments and its position on any potential requests to delay consideration of financial articles at the Town Meeting.  The Chair reported on discussions she had with members of the Board of Selectmen after the Committee’s last meeting.
