FORTY-SEVENTH MEETING           WARRANT COMMITTEE               MAY 8, 2006

The Chair called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in Milton High School prior to the beginning of the 2006 Annual Town Meeting.

Approval of the minutes of May 1, 2006 was deferred to May 9, 2006.

Following changes, on a motion made by Member Winston and seconded by Member Crichlow, the minutes of May 2, 2006 were approved 10-0-3.  Following changes, on a motion made by Member Winston and seconded by Member Dee, the minutes of May 4, 2006 were approved 13-0-1.
                                
A conference was held with Town Meeting members John A. Cronin and Paul Needham and Town Planner Aaron Henry regarding a motion to amend Article 51 “Central Avenue Planned Unit Development” submitted to Town Meeting by Mr. Cronin.  Also in attendance was Selectman John Michael Shields.  Mr. Cronin and Mr. Needham reviewed with the Committee their reasons for submitting the motion to amend Article 51.  Among the matters discussed were green space, buffer zones, open space, the applicability of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40B and 40R, building heights, density and parking requirements.  The Warrant Committee deferred voting on the amendment due to the fact that Planning Board had not voted on the amendment submitted by Mr. Cronin.
                                                                                
The meeting recessed at 7:10 p.m. to allow the Warrant Committee to attend the fourth evening of the 2006 Annual Town Meeting.
