        The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

The Committee received a copy of a memorandum from John McFadden, Business Manager of the Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School, advising that the School’s budget had been approved by six of the member towns.  The Committee also received a Department of Revenue Information Guideline release regarding appropriation transfers and a copy of the FY 2007 Local Aid Assessments and Local Aid Estimates as currently carried in the Governor’s, House and Senate budget recommendations.


On a motion made by Member Dee, and seconded by Member Conley, the minutes of May 11, 2006 were approved 7-0-3.

On a motion made by Secretary Lowney, and seconded by Member Gray, the Warrant Committee voted 10-0-0 to approve a $1,829 Reserve Fund transfer to the Council on Aging FY 2006 General Expenses for payment of the April 2006 Keyspan bill.

On a motion made by Member Walker, and seconded by Member Nolan, the Warrant Committee voted 10-0-1 to approve a $3,203 Reserve Fund transfer to the Selectmen FY 2006 Election and Registration appropriation to be allocated as follows: $478 to General Expenses and $2,725 to Salary and Wages for expenses relating  to the annual town election and postage for the annual Town Meeting Warrant.

On a motion made by Secretary Lowney, and seconded by Member Mason, the Committee voted 9-3-0 to approve a $25,731 Reserve Fund transfer to the FY 2006 Fire Department General Expenses for medical costs for an injured firefighter.

On a motion made by Secretary Lowney, and seconded by Member Winston, the Committee voted 11-0-1 to approve a $2,338 Reserve Fund transfer to the FY 2006 Unemployment Compensation appropriation for payment of the April Unemployment Assistance activity.

On a motion made by Member Winston, and seconded by Member Dee, the Committee voted 8-4-0 to approve a $27,516 Reserve Fund transfer to the FY 2006 Law Budget appropriation for payment of January, February and March Special Service legal bills.

There was a brief discussion and review of Annual Town Meeting and the Warrant Committee process in preparing and submitting the FY 2007 budget and article  recommendations.

The next meeting of the Warrant Committee will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2006.
