Chairman Innes announced that since Monday, January 17, is a federal holiday, the committee will not meet. The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 19.
The Committee discussed the confusion concerning whether the School Department is requesting a vehicle as part of the Capital Article for the February Special Town Meeting. Public Works and Cemetery Subcommittee Chair Tim Lowney presented questions to the Committee that will be forwarded to the heads of each of these departments and led a discussion among Committee members requesting any additional questions they might have.
Chair Innes asked members of the Committee to be thinking about whether or not they would recommend a Capital override to fund the Capital Stabilization Fund and/or an Operating override to mitigate cuts in the previous year’s budgets.
The Committee discussed the PILOT status of the Blue Hills acreage.
