THIRTY-FIRST MEETING                                    May 2,   2005

RESERVE FUND BALANCE:  $250,511

Chair Innes called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Milton High School

The minutes of April 27, 2005 were approved 9-0-0.

The Warrant Committee voted 9-0-0 to approve a Reserve Fund transfer to the Board of Appeals FY 2005 General Expenses in the amount of $944 for payment of current advertising invoices.  Future  FY 2005 advertising invoices will be paid by the applicants.

The Committee voted 13-0-0 to approve a $5,268 Reserve Fund transfer to the FY 2005 Veterans’ Benefits General Expenses in the amount of $5,268 to provide State approved Veterans’ benefits through the end of the fiscal year.

Further discussion on Reserve Fund transfer requests from the Fire Department and Wire Department were deferred for further review.

The Committee voted 13-0-0 to move Town Meeting financial articles to Monday, May 9, 2005 to allow more time to receive financial information from the legislature, Board of Selectmen and School Committee.

The Committee voted 12-0-0 to move Town Meeting discussion of Article 55 “Civil Rights and Liberties Resolution” to Thursday, May 5, 2005.

The Committee voted 12-0-0 to recommend Article 44 “Demolition of Historical Buildings” after the removal of partial demolition language.

The Chair reviewed the status of the discussion of a joint proposal from the School. Committee and the Board of Selectmen to provide further funding to the School Department for Fiscal 2006.

The meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m. to allow the Committee to attend the FY 2005 Annual Town Meeting.
