BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING, MONDAY, MAY 13, 2013
In attendance: J. Thomas Hurley, Denis F. Keohane, Kathleen M. Conlon, Annemarie Fagan, Town Administrator and Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary
1. Chairman Keohane convened the meeting at 6:40 p.m. in the Main Office Work Room of Milton High School.
2. The Board discussed charging a fee for the increased requests for special events on the Town’s streets and ways and reviewed a draft policy regarding this subject. It was agreed that a survey on how other communities handle the expense of organizing these events should be done before a policy is adopted.
3. J. Thomas Hurley moved, Kathleen M. Conlon seconded and the Board voted unanimously to appoint Richard Doyle, 83 Gardiner Road, Quincy, to the position of Harbormaster from May 13, 2013.
4. The Board discussed the remaining warrant articles.
5. Denis F. Keohane moved, J. Thomas Hurley seconded and the Board voted unanimously with Denis F. Keohane voting yes, J. Thomas Hurley voting yes and Kathleen M. Conlon voting yes to enter Executive Session for the purpose of discussing the deployment of security personnel or devices or strategies with respect thereto relating to the Hudson Street incident and to return to Open Session to attend town meeting.
6. Town meeting adjourned at 10:05 p.m.
