BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2012

In attendance:  Robert C. Sweeney, John M. Shields, J. Thomas Hurley, Kevin J. Mearn, Town Administrator, Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary

1.      Chairman Sweeney convened the meeting at 7:07 p.m. in the John A. Cronin        Conference Room of the Town Hall.

2.      The Board confirmed March 8 and March 22, 2012 as future meeting dates.

3.      The Board met with Police Chief Richard Wells to discuss the Patrolman  appointments for the candidates who were interviewed on Monday, February 9,     2012.  Chief Wells made the following recommendations to the Board:  Michael    Delaney, S. Delaney, 72 Pond Street, Milton; Gerard J. Dhooge, 35 Frothingham   Street, Milton and Michael R. Grant, 78 Badger Circle, Milton.

        After consideration of the proposed recommendations, John M. Shields moved, J.  Thomas Hurley seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the   conditional appointment of Gerard J. Dhooge and Michael R. Grant to the         position of Patrolman contingent upon successful medical screening,     psychological   evaluation, successful graduation from the MBTA Transit         Academy in Quincy and Personnel Board approval, and the appointment of  Michael S. Delaney contingent upon      successful medical screening and        psychological evaluation (Mr. Delaney has successfully graduated from the     MBTA Transit Academy) and Personnel Board approval.

4.      J. Thomas Hurley moved, John M. Shields seconded and the Board voted    unanimously to approve a contract (prepared by Town Counsel) between the        Town and Drummey Rosanne Anderson, Inc. for services outlined in the Town’s     Request for Proposals for a Conditions Assessment for School and Public         Buildings.

5.      John M. Shield moved, J. Thomas Hurley seconded and the Board voted     unanimously at 7:30 p.m. to adjourn.
