BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING, MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2012
In attendance: Robert C. Sweeney, John M. Shields, J. Thomas Hurley, Kevin J. Mearn, Town Administrator, Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary
1. Chairman Sweeney convened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Office Workroom of Milton High School.
2. The Board confirmed the following future meeting dates: February 2, 9, 13 and 16, 2012.
3. John M. Shields moved, J. Thomas Hurley seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve a request to use the Town’s streets and ways for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer that is scheduled to pass through Milton on Saturday, May 19, 2012 and Sunday, May 20, 2012 and to allow the display of temporary plastic signs on trees and sign posts which will be removed by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012, contingent upon approval by the Police Chief.
4. J. Thomas Hurley moved, John M. Shields seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve forwarding to the Warrant Committee a Reserve Fund Transfer request in the amount of $4,578 to the Selectmen’s Election and Registration budget to cover unanticipated printing and postage bills for the January 30 Special Town Meeting.
5. The Board discussed the eight articles that are being considered by Town Meeting at 7:30 p.m.
6. The Board recessed at 7:00 p.m.
7. Town Meeting adjourned at 10:24 p.m.
