BOARD OF SELECTMEN’S MEETING, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2011
In attendance: Robert C. Sweeney, John M. Shields, J. Thomas Hurley, Kevin J. Mearn, Town Administrator, Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary
1. Chairman Sweeney convened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the John A.Cronin Conference Room of the Town Hall.
2. The Board confirmed Thursday, October 6 and Thursday, October 20, 2011 as future meeting dates.
3. Peter Culhane, 464 Central Avenue, addressed the Board regarding the Town Farm property.
4. The Board met with Chief Police Richard Wells who discussed the Animal Control Officer position that is presently vacant due to the retirement of Linda Kippenberger. Chief Wells recommended Nancy Bersani, resident and certified ACO for the position. After discussion, J. Thomas Hurley moved, John M. Shields seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the application of Nancy Bersani, 11 Brook Road, to the position of Animal Control Officer in the Town of Milton subject to the approval of the Personnel Board.
5. The Board interviewed the following candidates for two Patrolman positions in the Milton Police Department: Kelli A. Little, 74 St. Mary’s Road, Timothy Doyle, 18 Governor Belcher Lane; Michelle Morawiak, 14 Rose Street and Imraan Hosein, 505 Harland Street.
6. John M. Shields moved, J. Thomas Hurley seconded and the Board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:45 p.m.
