SELECTMEN’S MEETING MONDAY, MAY 1, 2006 6:00 P.M.
In attendance: Marion V. McEttrick, , James G. Mullen, Jr., John M. Shields, David A. Colton, Town Administrator, Annemarie Fagan, Assistant Town Administrator and Paula Rizzi, Executive Secretary
John M. Shields nominated James G. Mullen, Jr. to serve as Chair of the Board of Selectmen, Marion V. McEttrick seconded the motion. James G. Mullen, Jr. accepted the nomination. The vote to nominate James G. Mullen, Jr. as chair of the Board of Selectmen was unanimous.
Marion V. McEttrick nominated John M. Shields as Secretary of the Board of Selectmen. James G. Mullen, Jr. seconded the motion. John M. Shields accepted the nomination. The vote to elect John M. Shields as Secretary to the Board of Selectmen was unanimous.
The Selectmen made statements regarding their positions on an operational override.

Mairead O’Grady, 90 Oak Road, Barbara Plonski, 105 Gulliver Street, Julia Hanna, 3 Norway Road, Tony Hyppolite, 51 Pagoda Street, Karen Friedman-Hanna, 3 Norway Road; Kimberly McLarin, 524 Eliot Street; Richard Fishcher, 546 Eliot Street; Kristan Bagley-Jones, 32 Belcher Circle; David Bullis, 20 Austin Street; Gene Irwin, 120 Highland Street; Gregory Hall, 72 Governors Road; Eileen Gineitis, 51 Warren Avenue; Scott Hainline, 256 Eliot Street; Judy Gundersen, 32 Woodchester Drive; Kanchan Banerjee, 109 Gulliver Street; Geoff Wilkinson, 199 Beacon Street.
John M. Shields moved, Marion V. McEttrick seconded and the Board voted unanimously to recess until 7:30 p.m. at which time Town Meeting will convene.
Town Meeting adjourned at 11:00 p.m.
