The sixth meeting of the Personnel Board for FY2006 was held on Thursday, January 19, 2006, in the Small Basement Conference Room at 7:00 p.m.
Present: John Pender, Ann White and Iris Kennedy
Absent: Stephen Hennessy and Michael Reardon
John Pender chaired the meeting.
A conference was held with Police Chief Kevin Mearn to discuss Patrol Officer vacancies in the Milton Police Department and the appointment of William Chen. Following discussion, Ann White moved, Iris Kennedy seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the appointment of William L. Chen, 289 Granite Avenue, Milton, to the position of Patrol Officer with the Milton Police Department, P1, Step 5, $924.20, effective January 21, 2006, subject to successful completion of a background check, medical and psychological evaluation, and with the stipulation that this appointment is in compliance with all civil service and union rules.
Ann White moved, Iris Kennedy seconded and the Board voted unanimously, at 7:45 p.m., to adjourn.
