The eleventh meeting of the Personnel Board for FY2005 was held on Monday, May 2, 2005, at Milton High School, Gile Road, Room 101 at 6:30 p.m.
Present: Stephen G. Hennessy, John Pender, Iris Kennedy, and Ann White
Absent: Michael Reardon
Ann White moved, John Pender seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the April 12, 2005 meeting minutes.
Stephen Hennessy moved, Ann White seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the promotion of Town Engineer Walter Heller to the position of Director of Public Works/Town Engineer, Level 14, Step 5, effective May 2, 2005 as requested by the Town Administrator David A. Colton. It is the normal practice of the Board to place an employee advancing to a higher grade at the lowest step in the new grade which does not reduce his or her compensation. Because this position now encompasses both the Director of Public Works and Town Engineer job duties, the Board felt that an exception was warranted in this case.
Ann White moved, John Pender seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the employment of Patrick Feeney, 53 Fairbanks Road, Milton, MA. to the position of W3-Park Maintenance Craftsman, MEO Grade 2, subject to a pre-employment physical and with the stipulation that all civil service and union rules have been complied with.
Stephen Hennessy moved, Ann White seconded and the Board voted unanimously, at 7:20 p.m., to adjourn.
