The first meeting of the Personnel Board for FY2005 was held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004  in the John A. Cronin Conference Room at 7:00 p.m.

Present: Stephen G. Hennessy, John Pender, Iris Kennedy and Ann White.

Stephen Hennessy moved,  Ann White seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the meeting minutes for the June 30, 2004 meeting.

A conference was held with Chief of Police Kevin J. Mearn.  Discussed was the temporary Civilian Dispatcher appointment and Patrol Office appointments.  Following discussion, Stephen Hennessy moved, John Pender seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the appointment of Christopher Nee, 398 Reedsdale Road, Milton, effective July 7, 2004, to the position of Civilian Dispatcher on a temporary basis not to exceed sixty (60) days, contingent on Board of Selectmen approval at its meeting on July 21, 2004.

Stephen Hennessy moved, John Pender seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve the appointment of the following individuals to the position of Patrol Officer with the Milton Police Department, conditional upon the candidates’ successful completion of the background check, medical and psychological evaluations, and Physical Agility Test, and  with the stipulation that these appointments  are in compliance with all civil service and union rules:

Christopher R. St. Ives, 17 Holborn Street, Milton
        Robert A. Mason, 26 Quarry Lane, Milton
        Lisa R. Leite, 23 Winthrop Street, Milton
        Christopher M. Nee, 398 Reedsdale Road, Milton
        Kristen P. Chipman, 4 Galen Street, Milton
        Luis F. Velasquez, 84 Chesterfield Street, Readville

Stephen Hennessy moved, John Pender seconded and the Board voted unanimously at 8:15 p.m. to adjourn.
