Present: Board of Selectmen: Chairman E. Bernard Plante, Francis B. King, Kenneth I. Schold, Brian Stowell, Brian M. Ashmankas; Town Manager Spain, Mike O’Connor, Albert Kupcinskas, Donald Gauthier, Edd Cote, Dick Valentino, and concerned citizens.
Town Manager Spain made his FY2012 Budget presentation. *See attached PowerPoint presentation.
Selectman King asked how long we will have to pay for the Asa Waters oil cleanup. We still have to pay as long as they find project.
Selectman Stowell wants to know how many consecutive tests have to be clean before they let us out.
Selectman Ashmankas asked about the DPW director salary. Mr. Spain has to put the maximum number advertised.
Selectman Ashmankas also asked about the BOH health agent-Mr. Spain used Shrewsbury’s contract amount just as a figure because he doesn’t have exact number.
Will there be a savings next year for the sewer superintendent money and aren’t we putting two positions into one. Mr. Spain put the entire DPW salaries in and will adjust as needed.
Chairman Plante asked about BVT budget being less. It is because of fewer students. We will have final numbers soon-they are having their meeting tonight.
