Present: Board of Selectmen: Chairman E. Bernard Plante, Kenneth I. Schold, Francis B. King, Brian W. Stowell, Brian Ashmankas. Town Manager Bob Spain, Finance Director Brian Turbitt, Attorney John Giorgio.
One Day Liquor License-Marie’s Catering-Asa Waters Mansion, May 11, 2010.
Motion made by Selectman King, seconded by Selectman Stowell to approve the one-day liquor License.
Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion regarding the Warrant-Chairman Plante noted that there may be some issues with the Fire Truck, the Board of Health and the liquor license. He also tried to explain the process to the newly elected Selectman Ashmankas.
Selectman Stowell said the Fire Truck is not the Taj Mahal of trucks, it is required by law to have a six passenger cab if you purchase a new truck, the trucks last 25-30 years.
Mr. Spain discussed the budget and needed a motion to accept the change of $82,367.00 from the overlay account discussed at last meeting.
Motion to accept the change made by Selectman Schold, seconded by Selectman Stowell.
Motion carried 4-1 Selectman King opposed.
Mr. Spain told the Board they need to accept the resignation of Marc Auclair from the Board of Fire Engineers so he can repost the position and also the positions at the DPW and Town Clerk.
Motion made by Selectman Stowell to accept the resignation, seconded by Selectman Schold.
Motion carried unanimously.
