Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes 10/28/2015
MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
OCTOBER 28, 2015
MEETING MINUTES

The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held Public Hearings on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 6:00 p.m. in the Waquoit Room at the Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck Road North.  Chairman, Jonathan D. Furbush, Board Member, Richard Jodka, and Associate Member Scott Goldstein.  Building Commissioner, Michael Mendoza was also present.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Mr. Furbush opened the meeting at 6:00 pm and announced there were only three board members. The fourth board member was unable to attend the meeting due to traffic related issues. Therefore there is no quorum and the Board cannot hold a meeting or vote.

Mr. Furbush said that all the petitions will have to be continued. The next scheduled hearings are dated November 18, 2015 at the same time and place. He asked if there were any petitioners that could not make the next hearing and preferred to schedule a different date. Gloria Salgueiro approached the Board and stated she was the owner of the property located at 110 Wheeler Road, and traveled from Florida to attend the hearing. She wanted to know if she could discuss anything with the Board. Mr. Furbush apologized and said there were not enough members to vote. Mr. Mendoza said she can submit a written statement. Mr. Kirrane had her letter and provided the Board with documentation and stamped plans.

Mr. Steve Cook, representing the owners of 379 Mashpee Neck Road approached the Board and asked if he could reschedule at an earlier date. Mr. Mendoza stated that the petition has to meet the obligation under Mass General Law Section 40A and needs to be advertised in the newspaper twice prior to the hearing.

Ms. Jean Bowden, representing the owners of 48 James Circle said she will reschedule for the next hearing on November 18, 2015.

Mr. Furbush asked Mr. Goldstein to make a motion to adjourn until November 18, 2015. All were in favor.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary Ann Romero
Administrative Secretary
