Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Taylor at 8:00 a.m.
Town Hall, Selectmen’s Upstairs Conference Room

OLD BUSINESS:
BIA re: Proposed Legislation:
At their last meeting, the Selectmen authorized Town Counsel Patrick
Costello and Special Counsel Guy Martin of Perkins Coie to draft comments to the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of
Indian Affairs on the matter regarding the proposed regulations relative to the establishment of gaming procedures in certain Tribal lands.
The Selectmen met to discuss the proposed draft comments as referenced. It was disclosed the deadline to file comment on the general regulatory procedures has been extended to Tuesday, December 19, 2006.
Discussion followed regarding matters relative to the intent and interpretation of the proposed legislation. It was agreed that Town Counsel would be consulted with respect to the comment letter and the amendments proposed by the Selectmen. The matter will appear before the full Board at their meeting of Monday, December 11, 2006.
Adjournment:
Motion made by Selectman Myers to adjourn at 8:55 a.m.
The Board will enter into Executive Session at this time for the purpose of discussing matters regarding a grievance.
The Board will not reconvene in Open Session.
Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane.
VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0.
