NEW BUSINESS
Correspondence was received from Cedric Cromwell, Chair of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe dated November 6, 2015 regarding the review of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between the Town and Tribe dated April 22, 2008 and negotiations to implement the IGA regarding law enforcement matters on the parcels of land intended to be placed into trust by the United States.
Review and Execution of Release Deed to Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council, Inc. regarding 483 Great Neck Road South:
To correct the guarantee name used in the Town’s previous 2008 Release Deed that incorrectly named the Tribe instead of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council (MWITC), the owner of record, the Board of Selectmen took the following action;
Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve a Release Deed from the Town of Mashpee to the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal Council, Inc. (“MWITC”) concerning the Tribe’s property located at 483 Great Neck Road South, Mashpee.
Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman.
VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0.

Temporary Authorization by Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council, Inc. for Continued Fire and EMS Services to Tribal Lands:
With regards to the temporary authorization for continued Fire and EMS services to Tribal Lands, it was noted the Board of Selectmen are in negotiations at this time. Successful negotiations will result in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that is intended to be submitted to the Board of Selectmen at their next meeting on November 16, 2015.
