The Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission entered into Executive Session at 7:53 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2004. The Vice Chairman, Michael Talbot, presided.
Commissioners Present: Michael Talbot, Vice Chairman, Leonard Pinaud, Clerk, Lloyd Allen, Cass Costa, Jeffrey Cross, Stephanie Jones, and Ralph Shaw.
Staff Present: Robert Sherman, Agent, Lori Soucy, Assistant Agent, Frances Wise, Board Secretary
The Vice-Chairman entertained a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss litigation. It was agreed that a regular session will not follow this Executive Session.
1. Brian Handy. Regarding the dike that blew out at the end of K-56, Bob said that Mr. Handy has repaired it and done some very minimal erosion control. Bob said he has discussed with Joyce Mason and Jack the fact that he does not want to get into the position of poor stewardship and be beholden to Mr. Handy in any way that would hurt us down the road in negotiations. Therefore, he hired Dom Crupi to bring in more hay bails, resulting in an excellent 3-level tiered job at a fee of $648. Bob recommended paying Mr. Crupi out of the Cranberry Bog Maintenance account.
Motion made, seconded and unanimously approved to pay Mr. Crupi his fee of $648 out of the Cranberry Bog Maintenance account.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Frances Wise, Board Secretary
