The Director stated she has been working with the van drivers and Outreach Coordinator to update procedures and policies for van riders and in addition, a review of the riders in the last year was completed.  In one year the number of unduplicated riders has doubled.

The Director thanked DPW staff for doing the annual cleaning and waxing of all of the floors.  She submitted to the Town the annual inventory of all equipment and furniture in the Senior Center.  She also thanked the DPW staff who repaired the portico ceiling.

Lynne reviewed the monthly meetings she attended:  Staff, Parkinson’s Support Network Board of Directors, COAST (Cape Cod Senior Center Directors) and Mashpee Human Services Committee.

She met with the gardening volunteers to plan for the annual planting in the entryway and patio areas.

The Director reported the two substitute van drivers completed their annual training, as mandated by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority.  She interviewed a candidate for the maintenance training position placed here and paid for by Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands Mature Worker’s Program.  The Director noted she met with several seniors seeking assistance providing coverage for the Outreach Coordinator while she was on vacation and has continued to focus on reorganizing the shared computer drive.
