UPDATES AND REPORTS

OLD BUSINESS;

Ms. Grant reported that the Steamship Authority has agreed not to raise the Medivan fare to the new ambulance rates at this time.  Ms. Grant will contact Mr. Mark Hanover to discuss the Steamship’s failure to recognize the VTA as a government entity for reduced fares which costs an additional $5,000.00 each year.

Ms. Grant advised the Board that the VTA had been asked to suggest uses for Tisbury’s embarkation fees and asked for full time Police presence to direct traffic at the Water Street circle to be the fist priority.

Ms. Grant advised the Board that a meeting is being held with the Chiefs of Police and Youth task force to address the number of incidents of underage drinking involving young teenagers.
