REVISION TO STORMWATER REQUIREMENTS
CONTAINED IN THE SUBDIVISION RULES AND REGULATIONS

Continued Public Hearing – Revisions to Storm water Requirements Contained in the Subdivision Rules & Regulations
Co-Chairman Winters met with Ken Motta of Field Engineering today and discussed the comments from the Buzzards Bay Project. The following comments were discussed and addressed:
Draft revisions to 310 CMR 10.00 & 314 CMR 9.00 – Mr. Motta will be checking on the draft revisions.
Low Impact Design – setbacks for drainage systems
3.2.1.3 – Existing topography
3.2.1.5 – Addition of the language “in order to determine the runoff curve number (RCN)”
3.2.2.3 - Addition of the language “in sufficient detail to determine the correct Runoff Curve Number (RCN)”
3.2.2.7 – Addition of the language “or other infiltration areas”
4.2.2 – Mr. Motta will review the proposed setbacks
4.4.1 – Rainfall data – It was agreed to use TP40 rather than the 1993 publication by Cornell University
6.2.2 & 6.2.5 – “Highway Surveyor” will be changed to “Department of Public Works” or “Supervisor of Department of Public Works”
6.1.6 – 2.5’ of cover over drains. Mr. Motta recommended that requirement not be changed
4.8.4 – Mr. Motta will be reviewing this in his review of setback requirements (4.7.3, 4.7.2)
4.7.1 (Comment 4) – Mr. Motta does not believe the language needs to be changed
4.6.9 - Mr. Motta does not believe the language needs to be changed
3.1.4 – Mr. Motta will look at this under his review of the revised DEP regulations
2.1 – Mr. Motta will review the information contained in Comment 2
Co-Chairman Winters said he can provide changes for a revised copy prior to the next meeting.
Moved by Member Magauran and seconded by Co-Chairman Winters to continue the public hearing to March 24 at 8:15 p.m. VOTE: 7-0-0
