Commencement – Mrs. Torres called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.


Approval of Minutes
Moved by Mr. Blanchette and seconded by Mr. Henry to approve the meeting minutes of December 8, 2009 as written.  VOTE:  5-0-0

Mrs. Torres noted the governor announced that the Town of Marion received the funding for LNV and that construction would start early spring.

Mrs. Torres announced that Reg Foster resigned from the trust and we wish him well.  She also noted that the Trust is seeking new members and all applications are welcome.    

Mrs. Torres introduced the MAHT consultant, Karen Sunnarborg who presented a power point presentation draft Housing Needs Assessment to the town.

During the discussion the following issues were addressed:
Define Affordable Housing regarding financial needs
Rents - calculation
Strategies
Zoning districts and geographic areas
Analysis of recently owned properties – there is an inventory
Marion should partner with developers that have strong track record
Sober houses or special need housing
Continuum of care – look for opportunities  
Identifying sites in Marion
