Discussion and Policy Items:
- Executive Session – Executive Session to discuss confidential matters regarding personnel, collective bargaining and negotiations, and matters that are the subject of ongoing litigation.
- Request from Traffic Commission to reverse their original recommendation and keep Highland Drive as a two-way street.
- Discussion of policies on river maintenance including walls along the rivers, and clearing debris from rivers, adjacent to private property.
- Discussion of alternatives with regard to Water Rate Increases for enactment by the end of May, 2010.
- Discussion of Chamber of Commerce Sidewalk Sale dates.
- Discussion of Memo received from Con Edison in opposition to an Act to amend the labor law in relation to workers on excavations, requiring that all utility companies, and their contractors and subcontractors, pay the prevailing wage on projects where a permit to use or open a street is issued.
- Draft resolution for designated polling places.
- Preliminary review and recommendation for adoption of additional provisions for administration and enforcement of the new Storm Water Law
- Discussion of draft of proposed local law to implement the Harbor Island Park parking plan for boat ramp and beach
- Discussion of the recommendation to change the meters near the Train Station along Van Ranst and Jefferson Avenues back to $.25 per hour.
- Draft of MS-4 Report from March 2009 through February 2010, for discussion and filing on May 10, 2010.
