BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes
November 16, 2005


Present:  Dick Jones, Judy Brotman, Chief Pauline Field, Mike Hinsley.
The meeting opened at 5:00pm by acting chair Dick Jones.
        
1.      The Selectmen approved the minutes of November 9th, the public hearing/decision document of October 26th and amendment to the minutes of October 26th.
2.      There has been a Resolution of complaint about water flowing onto Goose Pond Road.  Fred checked and ditched the driveway to stop the flow into the road.
3.       The Selectmen received a compliant about the NH DOT placement of ditch cleanings.  The Board will ask Carole to call the Supervision of the Enfield NH DOT highway garage relative to requesting a clean-up of the ditch cleanings.
4.      The Selectmen approved a payment of half the contract price for Edgell Bridge repairs.
5.      The Selectmen reviewed and approved the manifest.
6.      Yield tax assessments for Eleanor Mudge ($38.20) and Thomas Mudge($426.87) were approved.
7.      The Intent to Cut for Purcell Real Estate, Map 401/lot 15, was approved.
8.      The Board of Selectmen approved a meeting with the BOS/Planning Board representative and the State DOT to discuss a left turn lane for Crossroads.  (Use of the new driveway may be an issue.)
9.      The Board received a report that both the DES and Fish & Wildlife Commission like our pond water level policy.  The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Lyme Conservation Commission met in Concord to discuss the policy.
10.     The Selectmen reviewed the zoning permit fees.  No decisions were made, except that the Board will review the issue again.
11.     The Board approved the recommendation of the Cemetery Trustees to deposit the Wise donation into the “Gifts and Donations” expendable trust fund.
12.     The Selectmen ask that the Planning Board review Mort Bailey’s request to build on Mud turtle Pond Road.  Following the Planning Board’s review, the Board of Selectmen will have a public hearing on the request.
13.     The Selectmen approved the expenditure of legal funds for the Zoning Board of Adjustment appeal for Stout V. Lyme V. Roby.
14.     The Selectmen approved the extension of a hardship abatement for the late payment of taxes to June 1, 2006.
15.     Mike Hinsley appeared before the Selectmen to update them on the Local Emergency Planning Commission (LEPC) plans for responding to a possible pandemic flu outbreak.
16.     The Selectmen spent the remainder of the meeting reviewing the budget.
There being no other business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 7:00 pm.
