BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes
October 19, 2005
Present: Pete Bleyler, Dick Jones, Judy Brotman, Carole Bont, Fred Stearns, Bill LaBombard, Pauline Field, Kevin Peterson, Mike Hinsley, Judy Barker, Melissa Ogle.
Chairman Pete Bleyler opened the meeting at 8:00 am at the Fire Station.
1. Fred Stearns and Bill LaBombard appeared before the Selectmen to review their upcoming department budget requests.
2. Pauline Field appeared before the Selectmen to present the TRIM program being offered by the Local Government Center. The Selectmen will ask Dina to confirm the present status of our PRIMEX contract, and to request a quote from LGC for TRIM coverage.
3. Pauline reviewed her department’s upcoming budget request.
4. The Minutes of October 12, 2005 were approved as amended.
5. The Selectmen approved the parking permit for the afternoon of October 23, 2005.
6. The Selectmen approved 3 uses of the Academy Building – January 7, 2006 wedding, November 3-December 1 yoga, and November 7-December 27 yoga.
7. the Selectmen approved two Intents-to-Cut – Lyme Holdings, Map 412/L3 and Robinson, Map 411/L45.
8. Melissa Ogle, Senator Sununu’s local representative, appeared at the meeting to touch base with the Selectmen. Judy Barker was present at the meeting to speak with Melissa.
9. The Bargain Barn has forwarded a report to the Board of Selectmen detailing their disposal loads this summer. The Selectmen have forwarded the report on to the Transfer Station Committee for their review and recommendation to the Board.
10. The Selectmen were updated on Post Pond issues.
11. Pete accompanied the FEMA representatives to the Washburn Hill washout site. This repair will not qualify for federal reimbursement.
12. The Selectmen will meet in an extra session on Monday evening at 7:30 pm at the Town Offices.
13. The Selectmen will meet with the remaining Department Heads to review their upcoming budget requests next Wednesday at the regularly scheduled Board meeting at 8:00 am at the Firehouse meeting room.
The meeting recessed at 10:10 am to Monday at 7:30 pm at the Town Offices.
