BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Minutes
August 24, 2005

Pete Bleyler opened the meeting at 8:00 am.
1.      The Minutes of the August 17th Non-Public Session and Public Session were approved as amended.
2.      The Manifest was approved.
3.      The Selectmen voted by unanimous roll call vote to go into Non-Public Session, at 8:01 am, under RSA 91-A:3 II (c) for discussion of matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person.
4.      The Selectmen returned to public session at 8:54am, with a vote to exempt the minutes from public inspection.
5.      Sue Kirincich’s request for yoga class for 13 weeks was approved.
6.      The Board approved a cemetery lot for Allan and Barbara Newton.
7.      The Selectmen voted to sell the F450 engine to Flanders & Patch for $3000 and to drop our claim against Ford.
8.      The Board appointed the following interested individuals to the Town Offices Committee, for the duration of the committee:    Jane Fant, Tony Pippin Sr., Michael Woodward, Don Metz, Tish Smith, and Freda Swan.  Pete Bleyler, Selectman and Patty Jenks and Carole Bont, Town employees, will also be members of the committee.
9.      The Selectmen reviewed the updated Skiway Plan.  The continued Public Hearing is Thursday evening, 8/25.  The Selectmen recommend that the parking lot drainage and erosion problems be corrected before any other improvements are approved and made to the skyway facilities.
10.     The Selectmen reviewed the Arthur Stout Land Use Change Tax Assessment.  The Selectmen voted to abate the LUCT at this time, as the assessment was not timely.  We will re-assess the LUCT when the land no longer qualifies for current use.

14.     The Board is wording on a redraft of the Personnel Policy.  A “working discussion paper” is being developed for discussion at an upcoming Board meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 am.
Respectfully submitted,
