TOWN OF LYME
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
February 2, 2005
MINUTES

Attending:  Selectmen Dick Jones and Judy Brotman; Staff Carole Bont, Vickie Davis.  Public:  Brian & Jodie Rich, Tyler Rich.

The meeting opened at 8:00 am.  

1.      The Selectmen moved to go into Non-Public Session under the authority of RSA 91A:3 II (a) and (c).  
2.      The Selectmen returned to pubic session at 8:20 am, having granted two hardship abatements, and revised the employment contract of Chief Field.  The Selectmen voted to exempt the non-public session minutes from public inspection.
3.      The Selectmen approved the Non-Public Session minutes of January 26, 2005.  The Selectmen approved the Public Session minutes of January 26, 2005 as corrected.
4.      The Selectmen approved the draft of the response to Charles Balch’s letter concerning discontinuance of some of the street lights on Pleasant Street.  Chairman Jones was authorized to sign the letter on behalf of the Board.
5.      The Selectmen approved the intent to cut for Richard and Lucie Bourdon, Tax Map 402, lot 21.  
6.      The Selectmen approved the intent to cut for Jane M. Palmer, Tax Map 410, lot 10.1.
7.      The Selectmen approved the intent to cut for Kate and Matt Robinson, Tax Map 416, lot 25.  A copy of this intent to cut will be forwarded to Orford’s Board of Selectmen.
8.      The Selectmen denied a claim for vehicle damage reimbursement for Dick Ekwall, who claims that $145 in vehicle damage was caused by the condition of Goose Pond Road.  
9.      The Selectmen postponed reviewing the police department policies until the full board is present and has had an opportunity to review the proposed policies.
10.     The Selectmen met with Brian, Jodi and Tyler Rich to discuss their request to build a home with access off a Class VI  road (the old Dorchester Road).  The Selectmen encourage the Riches to pursue using the existing private driveway which crosses over the old Dorchester Road to get to their property and/or obtain a right-of-way for access to the Dorchester Road.  
11.     The Selectmen will review the Warrant Articles at their next meeting.  The Budget committee will be reviewing all money warrant articles at their next meeting, scheduled for Wednesday 9th.
