Selectboard Minutes 2004/12/15
Draft:  December 15, 2004
Approved:  December 22, 2004
TOWN OF LYME
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
December 15, 2004
MINUTES
Attending:  Selectmen Dick Jones and Judy Brotman; Administrative Assistant Carole Bont, Bookkeeper Dina Cutting.
The Meeting opened at 8:0 0 am.
1.      The Selectmen approved the December 8th minutes.
2.      The Selectmen approved an extension, for Vicki Baconl-Husband, to June 30, 2005, to pay her property taxes, and agreed to waive interest and fees if the taxes are paid by that date.
3.      The Selectmen are asking that the Safety Committee meet and, along with other business, fill out the State’s Safety Survey.
4.      The Selectmen reviewed the information provided by PRIMEX and the Local Government Center’s Health Trust concerning workers’ compensation insurance and decided to continue with PRIMEX for that coverage.  PRIMEX is expanding its business lines to compete directly with the Health Trust for other lines of insurance, but quotes for health insurance etc. for 2005 are not yet available.  The Board decided to further investigate possible cost savings that may arise as PRIMEX and the Health Trust compete for the Town’s insurance business.
5.      The Selectmen approved COBRA benefits for retirees’ spouses.  This would be a 36 month benefit, and would be a reimbursable expenditure to the Town from the retiree.
6.      The Selectmen discussed the Dorchester/Lyme perambulation.  The Selectmen will designate a perambulator, and hopefully Dorchester will do the same, so that next summer the perambulation can be accomplished.
7.      The Selectmen approved carrying over all earned time off to June 30, 2005, for Dina Cutting and Carole Bont.
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 am.
Respectfully submitted,

Judith Lee Shelnutt Brotman
