PUBLIC HEARING
Attending: Selectmen Dick Jones, Pete Bleyler, Judy Brotman, Staff Carole Bont.
1. The public hearing was opened at 9:55 am to discuss the acceptance of a grant for a defibrillator for emergency personnel.
2. No public was in attendance at the public hearing.
3. The Selectmen voted to accept the grant/gift of a defibrillator.
4. The public hearing was closed at 9:58 am.

MINUTES
Attending: Selectmen Dick Jones, Pete Bleyler, Judy Brotman, Staff Carole Bont. Jerome Robinson, Public.
The meeting opened at 8:00 am
5. The public session minutes of July 14, 2004 were approved as amended.
6. Tom Morissey appeared before the Selectmen to add the Selectmen’s letter of support to his petition to DES to request DES’s help in establishing the level of Post Pond. Eighteen signatures of 24 possible are on the petition.
7. A hearing is scheduled for 9am tomorrow morning at Superior Court on Barker v. Town of Lyme.
8. The Selectmen will investigate the Pike trailer which is now in the right-of-way to Trout Pond.
9. The Budget prepared for the meeting next week will not have the last payroll in June.
10. Personnel issues were discussed. It is the Selectmen’s intent to adopt a pay scale, the mechanics of which need to be determined. Some “catch up” from last year may need to be given.
11. The Selectmen opened a public hearing at 9:55 am on the issue of accepting a grant. The Selectmen closed the public hearing at 9:59 am after voting to accept the grant.
12. The meeting was adjourned at 10 am.
