Minutes 22 October 2003
1) The Lyme Board of Selectmen convened its regular meeting at 7:30 PM. Dick Jones and Pete Bleyler attended the entire meeting. Dina Cutting (Bookkeeper/Secretary), Pauline Field (Chief of Police), Michael Hinsley (Fire Chief), and Library Trustees Tish Smith (Chair), Betsy Eaton (Librarian), Ann Justice, Anne Hartman, Wayne Tullar, Alida Ciampa, and Judy Russell attended parts of the meeting.
2) The minutes of October 15,2003 were approved.
3) The Library Board of Trustees came in to a) Conduct the annual meeting between Library Trustees and the Board, and b) discuss the Library budget prior to submission to the Budget Conm1ittee.
4) The Board agreed to pay Town employees for time spent on a CPR/First Aid training course being proposed by Officer Paul Roberts.
5) Chief of Police Pauline Field came in to discuss the Police budget prior to submission to the Budget Committee.
6) Fire Chief Michael Hinsley came in to discuss air quality problems and heating issues at the Public Safety building. Steps to correct the problems were discussed.
7) The Board approved Intent to Cut applications for Janet Baker, Map 414, Lot 37, and Allen and Cynthia Stam, Map 410, Lot 57.
8) The Board approved the Baptist Church request to conduct a raffle at their annual Holiday Bazaar on 11/22/03.
9) The meeting adjourned at 8:56 PM.
