Selectboard Minutes 2003/01/29
Town of Lyme
Board of Selectmen
Minutes 29 January 2003
1.      The Lyme Board of Selectmen convened for its regular meeting at 9:10 AM.  Richard Jones, Michael Hinsley and Carole Bont attended the entire meeting.  Vickie Davis (Planning and Zoning Administrator) and Put Blodget attended parts of the meeting.
2.      The minutes of the 15 January public and non-public sessions and the 17 January public and non-public sessions were approved as submitted.
3.      The following administrative matters were discussed and/or actions taken:
a.      Vickie asked for and received the Board’s concurrence in requiring permit applications to be completed within 90 days of submission or they would be returned to the applicant without a permit being given or denied.  The minimum building permit fee of $10.00 and any applicable hearing fees would be retained by the Town in such cases.
b.      The Robinson’s intent-to-cut on map 416 lot 24 was approved.
c.      The letter of intent and contract with the Upper Valley Lake Sunapee Regional Planning Commission for two household hazardous waste days this year were approved and signed.
d.      A blind exemption starting in 2003 for Dorothy Trottier was approved.
e.      Any action on a hardship abatement application that had been received was delayed until it could be considered by the entire Board.
f.      The Board briefly discussed its 2002 report and the current version of the 2003 budget.
4.      Put came in to discuss the Town’s inquiring if the owner of the property across Route 10 from the Chase Beach recreation area (map 407 lot 89) might be receptive to selling it to the Town.  The lot has the potential of providing additional protection to the water quality of Post Pond as Trout Brook flows through part of it, and it would allow future expansion of recreation fields if acquired by the Town.  Further discussion was delayed until it could be discussed by the entire Board.
5.      The meeting adjourned at 10:10 AM.
R. G. Jones
