FEBRUARY 27 MINUTES
LYME RECREATION COMMISSION
Present: Tor Tosteson, Cathy Cramer, Kerry Beck, Richard Jones
· Circus Camp research possibility of holding camp in Lyme this summer; decision has been made by camp to continue as in past years in Norwich
· Due to recent return of students to school after winter vacation there is no update on numbers for spring sports (Lacrosse, Rec. baseball, Little League baseball, softball); forms are currently on list serve and will go out this week from school to home with students
· Basketball season has been completed. Appreciated the use of portable scoreboard borrowed from Tony P. Discussion took place regarding purchase of keyboard for large scoreboard on wall in school gym. Motion made and accepted to authorize Steve to purchase keyboard as well as some type of locked storage box for it.
· Town warrant article to reduce commission from 7 members to 5; this will make the number of members more consistent with other town committees. All agreed the reduction of members was a good decision.
· Commission notes the time and good work of outgoing chair Cathy Cramer whose term expires this year.
· Next meeting is scheduled for 4th Monday of April
