NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
April14, 2009
Members Present: Frank Bowles, Don Metz, Simon Carr, Judy Brotman, Michael Woodard.
Others Present: Tim Estes.
The meeting was officially opened at 8:00 am by Co-Chair Don Metz.
- The minutes of March 31 were approved as corrected.
- The minutes of April 7 were approved as corrected.
- The police department will have a heavy duty strike plate installed with a solid core door for the interior anti-room access door.
There is no cost update on the proposed signs available yet.
Tim Estes asked about the color and pattern for the stamped concrete. It will be a natural color concrete with a common bond pattern running in the long direction. There will be a slight slope to allow for drainage when needed. The concrete will be 4” beyond the header, but under the overhang. The overhang will drip on the gravel. All this concrete work should be done by the end of the week.
- The conduit will be complete this week. 4 light posts should be in place as well. It is contemplated that these will be 10 ft. high aluminum posts.
- The vault is almost complete. Move-in should be complete soon, maybe this week.
- Tile is being installed this week.
- Carpet and bath fixtures will be coming soon. Estes & Gallup will be installing the fixtures.
- Most of the baseboard is already installed.
- At this point, move-in is scheduled for early June.
- Simon will have staff check on the costs of entry mats for both Unifirst and Foley.
- The meeting room chairs are being priced out by Lyndonville (with an anticipated discount).
- All internal phones are on order.
- The propane tank has been buried.
- Site grading is on-going this week..
The new Town Clerk’s counter is beautifully constructed and finished, courtesy of Frank.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 am.
