NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
February 24, 2009
Members Present: Don Metz, Michael Woodard, Jay Smith, Simon Carr, Judy Brotman.
Others Present: Stephen T. Campbell.
The meeting was officially opened at 8:00 am by Co-Chair Don Metz.
- The minutes of February 17, 2009 were approved.
- The committee asked Steve to check with the Library Trustees to see if the Town Clerk’s counter could be removed from the present office. Steve will poll the Board and report back to the committee.
- Don reported that the progress on the project remains good. Sheetrock is being taped. Most of the data wire is run.
- The Police Department will be the first to move into the new facility, with a proposed occupancy date of June 1.
- Numbers are still being chased down – with a preliminary report ready for next week’s meeting.
- The committee discussed the parking area, and how it will be finished. A good base is included in the project. Either crusher run or blacktop will be the finish coat.
- Ray Clark has requested an extension of the lease for his use of the garage. The Committee felt a limited extension was appropriate, but felt that the garage should be available for town use after May 15th.
The meeting adjourned at 8:20 am.
