MEETING MINUTES
June 3, 2008
Members Present: Don Metz, Frank Bowles, Jay Smith, Mike Woodard, Judy Brotman
The meeting was officially opened at 8:00 am by Co-Chair Frank Bowles.
1 The minutes of May 27, 2008 were approved.
2 Don and Frank reported that the meeting with Patty about the layout of the Town Clerk’s office was very productive. The plans as developed should provide for many years of usefulness.
3 Simon shared the good news – the Bond Bank & Bond Counsel have approved Lyme’s Bond application. No word yet on any legislative action.
4 Mike reported that discussions with Ray concerning the Leila Pile house rental are proceeding well. He will be speaking with the tenant and proposing a standard 1 year lease at $1,200 / month plus utilities.
5 Tomorrow is the buried oil tank removal. One of the Town’s highway department members will be present at 8 am to dig out the tank. Harper will be present at 8:30 to take soil samples.
6 Sandy’s barn is not going to work for Ray. Bayne’s barn, the former Tuckaway Timber property, is not appearing to be working out either. Ray has indicated the he will probably need to be in his present Recreate space until the end of December, but that he is fine with construction taking place around him. Mike will continue to work with Ray on finalizing several unresolved issues.
The meeting adjourned at 8:32 am.
