NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
MAY 20, 2008
Members Present: Don Metz, Frank Bowles, Jay Smith, Mike Woodard, Judy Brotman
The meeting was officially opened at 8:02 am by Co-Chair Don Metz.
1 The minutes of May 13, 2008 were approved.
2 Ray Clark and Sandy Kelsey have discussed the possible move of Recreate to Sandy’s barn. They will continue discussions to see if details can be worked out.
3 Estes & Gallup now have sufficiently detailed drawings to begin pricing the project.
4 Don & Frank will review the space needs with the Town Clerk in anticipation of finalizing that piece of the project.
5 The Committee will invite Harvey Brotman, Chaos Computing, to a meeting to begin to spec out the needs for wired/wireless service at the building.
6 Today the +/- 400 gallons of oil will be transferred out of the buried oil tank.
7 No tenant update yet from Ray Clark.
8 Anne Baird has volunteered to lead a drive to restore the cupola to the design.
9 Don reported that pledges are coming in steadily.
10 Simon reported that both the Senate and the House have passed versions of the bill to validate our town meeting votes. Final approval is due on June 6th. In addition, the Bond Bank has voted in principal to grant the loan. No specific rate has been set yet.
11 The water rights from Baxter to Clark (to be passed to the Town at closing) are not yet specified in the deed. Margaret Jacobs will work on getting this issue cleared up.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 am.
