NEW TOWN OFFICES COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
MAY 13, 2008
Members Present: Don Metz, Frank Bowles, Jay Smith, Mike Woodard, Judy Brotman
The meeting was officially opened at 8 am by Co-Chair Frank Bowles.
1 The public session and non-public session minutes of April 30, 2008 were approved as corrected.
2 The Committee was updated on Don and Frank’s meeting with Estes & Gallup (the Construction Manager).
1. Don & Frank will meet again with Tim Estes to review the revised floor plans and sections.
2. Plans and specifications are in design development.
3. Preliminary specifications are being reviewed by Estes & Gallup.
3 The Committee will request BOS authorization to spend up to $500 for the purchase of a new oil tank from Home Depot – if necessary following the “discovery” of the oil tank by Frank/Mike on Wednesday, 5/14/08.
4 The Committee reviewed the “To Do” list and updated it to reflect the 7/15/08 closing date.
5 Ray Clark has indicated that he will probably need to be in the Recreate shop to December 31, 2008. The initial new building construction may have to be accomplished while Recreate is still operational in the original shop building. Discussions are ongoing with Ray.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 am.
