LYME HERITAGE COMMISSION

MINUTES
PRESENT: Simon Carr, Ray Clark, Charlotte Furstenberg, Jane Fant, Adair Mulligan, regular members; Tim Cook, alternate.
ABSENT: Laurie Wadsworth, alternate
- Minutes – Minutes of the May 31 meeting were approved on a motion by Jane.
- Historic/Cultural Resources Chapter of the Master Plan – The group reviewed the draft text and made suggestions. Jane will revise and send out a new draft. Adair will send out more information on Demolition Review Ordinances.
- Historic Resources Inventory Consultant – Jane has spoken at length with Mary Kate Ryan at DHR, who is available to advise. Tim reported that Orford has conducted a survey with the help of students and architectural historian Elizabeth Hengen. Agreed that Tim will contact Carl to see if he can attend the next meeting, and to email Orford’s inventory form to Adair for distribution. Will consider inviting Liz Hengen to a future meeting. Ray reported that Diana Calder, town assessor, has said she could provide a list of town buildings sorted by age, and he will ask Simon to request this help from Diana.
- New town web page – Jane will follow up with Elise Garrity, and suggest identifying the Academy as a meeting place and the fourth Tuesday of the month as the regular meeting time.
- New resident packet – agreed that it would be desirable to include something from the Heritage Commission.
