Minutes
May 7, 2007
Place: Carola Lea’s home
Present: Matt Brown, Tina Cullenberg, Tom Hunton, Claudia Kern, Carola Lea,
Sue MacKenzie, John Stadler
The April meeting minutes were approved by email.
The Energy Committee has sun downed as of 12/06.
o Carola and Sue attended the selectman’s meeting with a listing of the LECs activities. No questions asked.
o LEC is now reinstated.
· Membership recruitment for committee
o Denis Keleman has moved to Kendal
o Bob Walker’s list and Lyme listserve could be resources
o Carola will call several people who may be interested in joining our group and report.

o Claudia to rewrite and submit to committee

· How is the wood pellet heater doing at the garage?
o Mat and Tom to bring information
o Will write article for Newsletter

· Tire pressure- Matt
o Scott Varackas has agreed to have a self tire pressure outside the shop.
o Bob Walker has a sign which Carola will retrieve and give to Varackas
o Sue to write about it in the newsletter asking individuals to bring their own tire gauge; will also place it on listserve.
o By next meeting and for July newsletter
· Report on town offices- Tom
o Discussion included several sites
o All agreed it should be south facing, etc
o Town attitude indicated that it should be along Rt 10.
o Current status: back to square one
· Solar panels bought in Plymouth for residential use- Matt
o Will cover hot water needs of home
o Workshop through SERG
o Payback within 4 years
· Terms for committee members were determined as follows:
o Matt Brown 1 year
o Tina Cullenberg 1 year
o Tom Hunton 1 year
o Claudia Kern 2 years
o John Stadler 2 years
o Carola Lea 3 years
o Sue MacKenzie 3 years
The meeting was closed at 8:30.
Next meeting on June 18, 2007 (the third Monday of the month)
