Landuse Meeting Room

Members present:  Acting Chair Robert Fuster (RF); Shawn Leary Considine, SLC; Jo Anne Huntley Magee (JM); Cliff Snyder, (CS)
Absent with notification: Chair Ethan Berg, (EB)
Staff present: Land Use Clerk Peggy Ammendola, (PA)

Carol A. Colabattista, 16 East New Lenox Road (Map 29, Parcel 22), Special Permit under 7.2.2 to construct an addition to her existing garage for the purpose of creating an accessory dwelling unit.

RF disclosed that he has represented Ms. Colabattista and members of her family and has known her for a number of years.  He stated he could be impartial, but asked if anyone had an objection to his participation.  Board members and the applicant indicated that they had no objections.

Presenting the application was Ms. Colabattista’s daughter in law, Lynn Webster, who is an architect.  Also present was Ms. Colabattista.

Miss Webster reviewed a site plan with the Board.

There were no abutters present nor correspondence received.

SLC made a motion to grant the petition for a Special Permit under Section 7.2.2 for an addition to the existing garage within the maximum square footage allowed by the Zoning By-Law.  ND seconded the motion and the Board voted 5-0 to agree.   RF pointed out that under Section 7.2.4 prior to the issuance of the Special Permit owner must submit an affidavit that the home will be continued to be occupied by the owner.

Respectfully submitted,
Peggy Ammendola
