Canyon Ranch, 165 Kemble St., Map 7 Parcel 43, extension to construct condominium units for an additional two-year period from Jan. 28, 2009.  Presenting the petition was Attorney Phillip Heller and Reggie Cooper of Canyon Ranch.

Mr. Heller reviewed the history of the Special Permit up to January 16, 2007 when CR Resorts, LLC was granted an extension for an additional two years to January 28, 2009.  Mr. Heller said that the extension is for good cause, citing the current economic crisis.

No correspondence was received.  There were two abutters who stated that they did not oppose the extension.  Donald Roy resides at Kemble Street, and George Haus who also lives on Kemble.  Mr. Haus represents the housing development known as Bishop Estate.

After a brief discussion, CS made a motion to close the public hearing and ND seconded the motion.  

SLC made a motion to grant the petition for an extension of the SP under Section 9.4.6 to extend the right to construct condominium units for an additional two year period from January 28, 2009 with the proviso the petitioner will present full site plans and drawing before any construction commences.  The plans would be publicly noticed and the presentation of the site plans would be for the Board’s approval.  CS seconded the motion and the Board voted to approve 5-0.
