Minutes of Meeting – March 21, 2018; meeting called to order at 7:00pm. Present: Dave Roche; Ken Fowler; Warren Archey; Ed Lane. Absent: Channing Gibson.
MOTION by WA, seconded by EL to accept the Minutes of February 21. 4/0 vote.
Citizen’s Open Forum: None.
Consent Agenda: MOTION by WA, seconded by EL to approve the consent agenda as follows:
accept a donation to the Police Department; accept a donation to the Fire Department; approve the 2018 seasonal license renewal for Seranak (BSO). 4/0 vote.
Community Preservation Committee: Chairman Tony Patella presented the Board with the six projects that the committee is recommending for funding: Trinity Church, $41,000; The Mount, $75,000; Frelinghuysen Morris House and Studio, $19,185; Town of Lenox Community Garden, $7745; Town of Lenox Shared Use Path Feasibility Study, $20,000; Town of Lenox Affordable Housing Trust, $250,000. The Board concurred with their recommendations.
Library Update: Librarian Amy Lafave updated the board on activities at the Library; Novel Night Out fundraiser on 6/14; Friday Films with Frank on 4/13, and the beginning of a seed library.
FY19 TM Recommended Budget: CAO mentioned that the Tri-Town Health appropriation request will be going up; however, additional revenue to be generated will more than offset this increase. It was agreed to hold a working meeting to review the budget figures on Monday, 3/26 at 3:30pm.
BOS Reports: WA mentioned that he will be meeting with Billy Gop regarding planting trees this spring.
By roll call, DR, EL, KF and WA voted to go into Executive Session at 7:30pm to discuss strategy with respect to negotiations with non-union personnel (Chief Administrative Officer).
