Selectmen's Minutes 11/01/2017
Minutes of Meeting – November 1, 2017; meeting called to order at 7:00pm.  Present:  Dave Roche; Ed Lane; Ken Fowler; Warren Archey; Channing Gibson.
MOTION by WA, seconded by CG to accept the Minutes of October 18.  5/0 vote.

Citizen’s Open Forum:  Pam Kueber stated that the Planning Board is gathering information with regard to Short Term Rentals, and that a forum will be held on 11/14 from 3-4:30 and 6-7:30 at the Town Hall.  Katie McNulty Vaughan and Ellen Jacobsen stated that 38 people attended the Fix-It Fair.  Katie also mentioned that the Land Trust will be holding a meeting on 11/9 at 7pm at the Community Center.  Librarian Amy Lafave asked that people attend the STM tomorrow night and support Article #3 regarding the Library.

Consent Agenda:  MOTION by WA, seconded by CG to approve the consent agenda as follows:  accept a donation to the Police Department; approve two craft fairs in Lilac Park, Church on the Hill on 7/28 and 29 and the Lenox Youth Basketball Association on August 10-12; one-day W&M license to the Lenox VFW for 11/11 from 6-8pm at St. Ann Parish Center.  5/0 vote.

The Board reviewed the Motions in preparation for the Special Town Meeting scheduled for tomorrow night.  They decided who would present which motion at the meeting.  With regard to Article #3, the Library article, KF stated that this MOU represents collaboration between the Library and the Town.  WA read a letter received from Tom Romeo and his concerns with the MOU.

BOS Reports:  CG stated that the beach project is looking good.  He also mentioned that the Housing Trust application to the CPC may be looking to have the Permanent Building Committee review their application project.  He then mentioned that he recently walked the High Road path, and that this item will be on the 11/15 agenda for the Board’s review.  WA asked the members for their thoughts on his letter to the Governor regarding the PCB’s.  CG made a few suggestions as to what he feels should be removed from the letter; EL stated that in general, he likes the letter as is.  KF mentioned that several of the sports teams have won their division.  EL stated that the Community Center heating system is now functioning, and that the entire project will be done by the end of the month.  He also mentioned that the Henry Avenue pump station is up and running, with site work continuing.  DR reminded everyone about the STM tomorrow night, and that it may be the norm to have two town meetings per year.
