Minutes of Meeting – November 4, 2015; Joint meeting with the School Committee called to order at 7:00pm. Present: Ed Lane; Channing Gibson; Dave Roche; Warren Archey; Ken Fowler. School Committee Present: Michael Moran, Robert Vaughan, Frances Sorrentino, Robert Munch, Neal Maxymillian. Absent: Veronica Fenton.
TM Chris Ketchen and Superintendent Tim Lee called this joint meeting of the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen to order. It was agreed to elect a chair for this meeting. MOTION by DR, seconded by CG to elect Robert Vaughan as Chair for this joint meeting. 5/0 vote; 5/0 vote.
RV stated that there has been an opening for a couple of months, and there is one candidate – Molly Elliot.
Molly Elliot stated that she moved to Lenox after much research and chose Lenox because of its great schools. She is very interested in the Strategic Plan and was an active member. She took on this responsibility with a lot of thought and recognition to serve the school and the town.
MOTION by NM, seconded by MM to appoint Molly Elliot as a new member for a term to expire at the next annual Town election, in accordance with the procedures established in Chapter 41, Section 11 of the General Laws. 5/0 vote; 5/0 vote.
