Members present:  Chair Kameron Spaulding, KS; Mark S. Smith, (MS); Tom Delasco, (TD); Kate McNulty-Vaughan, (KMV)

Staff present:  Gwen Miller, Land Use Director/Town Planner, (GM); Peggy Ammendola, Land Use Clerk, (PA)

Also present was Selectman Ken Fowler.

The meeting was called to order at 6:05 PM.

ANR Brushwood Farm/Hashim Map 17 Parcel 41 (Pittsfield Road, Rt. 7/20)

Present was Rob Hoogs of Foresight Land Services and Attorney Rich Dohoney.  Mr. Hoogs presented the site plan which shows the existing 75+ acres to be reconfigured into two lots.  Lot 1 will be 6.68 acres and Lot 2 will be 68.87 acres, both compliant buildable lots. The site plan depicts the proposed access easement for a shared driveway to benefit lots 1 and 2. The existing signaled curb cut and access will serve both lots.   KMV made a motion to endorse the ANR as presented.  TD seconded the motion.  The Board voted to approve 4-0.

ANR Burman Map 42 Parcel 30, Brunell Ave.  Mike Parsons of Kelly Granger and Parsons presented the ANR.  Peters, whose property abuts the Burman property, has agreed to sell a 100 foot strip to Mr. Burman.  TD made a motion to endorse the Form A.  MS seconded the motion and the Board voted to approve 4-0.

Approval of Minutes-July 28, 2015 KMV as amended. TD seconded the motion and the Board voted to agree 4-0.

Village Parking-GM reported that the map is now on the website. KS said that he would provide a copy to the Chamber.  GM said that she is still collecting data for the parking study and will continue thru the Apple Squeeze.  It was decided that the Board will not make a decision until the study is complete.

Sign Bylaw-There were no new updates.

Correspondence-Notices and decisions from abutting communities were read aloud.

Old Business-

Board vacancy-There are a few possible candidates to fill the vacancy on the Board.

Open Space Recreation Plan-KMV suggested that at some point the Board should get back to the Board’s open space goals.  GM updated the Board on some of what she has been working on:
  • She sent the members a brief summary of what the people in attendance at the OSRP event in June had indicated that they wanted.  
  • A park plan has submitted for improvements at the Lenox beach.  
  • The “Greenagers” have been working at the West Dugway parking area at Kennedy Park.
  • Natural Heritage has mapped the hardy kiwi at Kennedy Park, has designated priority areas and is working on a request for services to get the kiwi cut, sprayed and managed.  
  • Work is being done to produce various maps of the area for recreation.  These maps will be available on the website, Chamber and library.  
  • GM is working with the DPW to have a formal sidewalk inventory and plan that will be updated annually re:  improvements and new sidewalks.
Community Preservation Committee-They will meet on August 12th and there will be a public hearing on the 31st of August.  TD, who represents the Planning Board, will report back to the Board at the next meeting.

MS made a motion to adjourn. TD seconded the motion and the Board voted in favor 4-0.  The meeting was adjourned at 7:01 PM.
