Members present: Chair Joseph A. Kellogg, JK; Ken Fowler, KF; Kate McNulty-Vaughn, KMV; Steve Sample, SS, Gary Schiff, GS
Staff present: Mary Albertson, Town Planner, MA, Peggy Ammendola, PA
The meeting was called to order at 6:10 pm.
It was noted that the previous meeting scheduled for February 23rd was cancelled due to inclement weather.
Jim Biancola’s Zoning Comments: Jim Biancola was present to discuss his concerns with regards to sections of the Zoning Bylaw that he feels need clarification. MA provided a handout of the sections at issue and the comments made by Mr. Biancola and MA. Discussion ensued on each of the items and the Board decided that some items were minor “housekeeping issues”; some warranted more research and others should be brought up for more discussion for possible consideration for amendments. MA advised that it is too late to add any items for the Annual Town Meeting, but may be placed on the next Special Town Meeting, possibly in the fall.
Zoning Amendment Public Hearing and Town Meeting: It was noted that the Board would be holding a public hearing on several proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw on March 23rd at 6:30 pm.
Minutes: KMV made a motion to approve the minutes of February 9, 2010. GS seconded the motion and the Board voted 5-0 to approve.
Other Business:
Notices and Decisions from abutting communities were reviewed.
Community Preservation Committee: It was noted that a public hearing was conducted on March 8th to hear comments on several projects presented for consideration for funding at the Annual Town Meeting. Board members presented their views on each of the projects to KF, the Board’s representative to the CPC.
KF made a motion to adjourn at 7:50 pm. KMV seconded the motion and the Board voted 5-0 to approve.
